Hana Nozomi is an escape artist and space cadet from Richmond, Virginia. With a background in psychology and a deep fascination for entropy, Hana’s work explores anthropological themes through sculpture, installation, photography, and performance. Her practice is often in collaboration with the environment, seen through her use of found materials.
Hana will be presenting handcrafted piñatas to be broken open by herself and willing volunteers looking to release their inner demons.
This ritual will take place outside of The Anna Leonowens Gallery on May 31st, at 1pm come rain or shine.
